What a hidden gem! I wish I knew about this establishment sooner. Hoping to get away from the congestion of Wrigleyville I stopped in before a concert with my dad. We were promptly greeted and seated in a cozy patio outside. I had the veggie arepas and my dad ordered the cowboy. They were HUGE, stuffed to the brim with ingredients and very tasty. We both throughly enjoyed our cups of Guayoyo and even ordered some to go. Service was welcoming and pleasant. Cannot wait to go back!
First time going to this place and the food was sooo delicious and authentic tasting. Highly recommend. The place is smaller than I imagine but the service was amazing. It is BYOB which I wish I would've known but now I know for next time. Will def be going back!
My arepa runneth over! We're just back from spending most of February in Colombia where we feasted on a steady diet of arepas hot off the ubiquitous carts. We had an arepa itch that we needed to scratch and ended up here after reading glowing reviews.
B & L's arepas more than held their own against their South American cousins. I had the Cowboy--the steak was muy delicioso--and my wife had the Canaima which was packed with extraordinary shredded chicken. We split an order of crazy good fries which could have fed a party of four.
Service was attentive and friendly; B & L is BYO. We'll be back!
Food was amazing. The staff are so kind and friendly. Makes you feel right at home. Definitely coming back here :)
I got the party animal arepa and it was amazing. A little bit of a wait for our food but definitely worth it. Service was very friendly and helpful, and I was pleasantly surprised that the juice was “real juice”. A great experience.
