Chicago Kabob

We've eaten at this place twice and can recommend! The chicken shawarma wrap is the size of a small infant, will definitely feed you well. The owner is a very kind man! Hope this business stays around for a long time.

I love this place. So happy to have it in the neighborhood! Even in an area with a lot of great options for shawarma (Taste of Lebanon, Middle East, etc) Chicago Kabob is worth a stop on its own. I now come here regularly, and love the chicken shawarma platter, which is big enough for at least two solid meals, even three.

The food is made to order so it's super fresh, and you can tell the meat is really good quality. The rice is also so flavorful and addicting. Garlic sauce is really nice, more mild than other spots so it's not overpowering.

I'd recommend calling before you go to double check that they're open, I noticed the hours on Google might not be up to date. If you're getting takeout it's also worth placing your order ahead of time so it's ready when you get there because when they're busy there can be a bit of a wait (worth it though).

Great addition to the neighborhood. Becoming a regular Friday take out dinner for the family after a long week. Their meat is top class and the pita and salads really fresh. The baklava is a family favorite.

Our experience was AMAZING! We had a perfect lunch with a very kind treat of tea and baklava from the owner. Wonderful, well prepared food, great service! Very happy to have a restaurant like this so close to home.

It was a Wednesday evening when I walked in, and there were no other customers. Two friendly looking pops greeted me at the counter. I ordered the chicken kabob plate, and they fired up a grill just for my order...!

It was done perfectly, with the right level of char. Chicken itself was tender, and rice was lightly seasoned, so as to not overpower the chicken flavor. I'm actually glad that they put the onions to the side, I tend to like to pick at it separately.

The portion was very generous, and everything tastes very fresh. Good value, would highly recommend this spot! I'm so glad there is a no-frills Mediterranean spot nearby now!
