The best speakeasy in Chicago especially when George Freeman plays there the last Saturday of every month with Detroit James on harmonica!

Great sounding space, fantastic cocktails and cozy vibe. A perfect place for an easy evening out with a friend (or two..;)) or a memorable date night. Speakeasy style is a great touch, making it a strong addition to Chicago's bar scene.

First time there. Won't be the last. Amazing bar for live music, hidden behind a fake record shop (though is it fake if they actually sell the records?)

Extraordinarily professionally run. There was a significant line (in the "shop"). But Jim, the guy at the door (not gonna call him the bouncer) was almost shockingly polite and informative. Gave us reasonable information as to the wait and insured our information was passed to the woman inside managing the crowd. Which she did with courtesy and a clearly well-honed system of communication with the inside.

And it was worth the wait. Once inside we were treated to a great crowd, great atmosphere, with record-lined walls and a long bar where we got some great cocktails. Behind which was a stage featuring an amazing jazz quartet.

Didn't get the chance to try any of the food, but I'm sure we'll be back. Highly recommend everything about Dorian's.

Just impressive "hidden gem" inside the records store and a cozy setup, very tasty cocktails and share plates. Each of the cocktails have strong character same as food. Must try chicken liver, so unique layers of flavor from coconut cream and passion fruit. A lot of good rum as well.
Money and Tuesday Perfect for date night. Wednesday to Sunday live music from eight. Reservation for booth only
