First, let me say thank you to the owner for bringing your restaurant to the Pullman community. It’s so nice to have restaurants in the area that offer something besides greasy and/or processed food. It’s unfortunate that it’s all we have in most black neighborhoods. I have visited this place quite a few times, always getting the beef brisket platter. My husband loves it. There is a substantial amount of meat. The meat is tender and seasoned well. My only complaint is there needs to be more fries. Please stop being so stingy with the fries. So, I actually was prompted to write this review because I tried to place an order tonight at 6:40 pm, (I live 10 minutes away) and was told that orders are not taken after 6:30 pm because we close at 7 pm. I then said, “well if I come in will you take my order”? I was told no. If the restaurant closes at 7 pm, I should be able to order something until 7 or at least until 5 or 10 minutes til. Maybe you should change your closing time to 6:30. This usually only happens in our communities and it’s not good business. Also, I ordered the banana pudding one day and the presentation was awful. I got a little bit of pudding spooned out, thrown in a container sloppily. Please train your staff. People are spending they’re hard earned money. Aside from a few complaints, I will continue to patronize this place because the food is pretty good.

I ordered beforehand and our food was hot and delicious. The greens were on point and the meat was tender, this is my new go to spot!

The food is good. Quantity versus pricing is not equal. Wait time a tad bit too long. One person doing the work of two. Pick up orders should be placed i warmer until order is picked up.

The barbecue was tender and had a good taste. I was just surprised by the amount that you get for the price of the food. I’m not a fan for seasoning that is already on my fries. I like a choice of having the seasoning or not.
