Came all the way from California for graduation ceremony and craving home food. Saw Anayo’s African Cuisines
online. His services were excellent and very impressive.
We ordered some food. The Okra, and bitter-leaf soup were both fresh, tasty with adequate spice. You don’t need any additional salt or pepper like we do sometimes.
The jellof rice was well made and sweet and white rice and stew were well done and very tasty. In short it felt like home.
I will order again next time.

The Egusi was so good. Me and hubby went. Let me tell yall it was amazing. Service was good. The owner was patient and kind to explain the drinks. We also had the meat pies. They were very good and flavorful and homemade. The Egusi is spicy so maybe ask for no Scotch pepper but I enjoyed it very much. 10 out of 10 for me. It was smelling so good that I just dug in without taking a picture. Them folks know flavor frfr

This was my first time trying Igbo food and it was so flavorful!
    I had the following dishes:
Nkwobi - Deliciously spicy and was a very large serving too. The meat was tender, literally falling off the bone.
Unripe Plantain Porridge - Deliciously spicy too and the seasoning brought out perfectly the natural taste of the unripe plantain.
Jollof Rice - Arguably one of the best jollof rice I have had from a restaurant in Chicago. It was so rich - you can even tell from the color. Very flavorful.

Excellent food & service!!!! We had the Okra & Ugba Soup with Goat & Fish and Pounded Yam, Egusi Soup with Goat & Fish and Pounded Yam, Unripe Plantain Porridge, and Goat Pepper Soup. EVERYTHING was DELICIOUS! Fish crisp & clean! Best Goat Pepper Soup that I’ve EVER had! Customer service was impeccable! We’ll always come here for Eastern Nigerian Food!
