The Hen of Lincoln Park

Definitely my favorite breakfast spot in the city. Fresh ingredients, large portion sizes, reasonable prices, and fantastic service keep me coming back on an almost daily basis. My only gripe is that they aren't open on Tuesdays, but I'm convinced that if I bug them about it enough that will eventually change :) everyone should check this place out. I typically stick with boring dishes but they have some truly unique and, dare I say, gourmet breakfast and lunch options. Solo dining, for a date, or brunch with your friends, you can't go wrong with The Hen of Lincoln Park.

Paola and Carlos are our favorites folks here! We come a few times a month and they know our drink orders and sometimes even our food orders. This is also the first place in Chicago that we've found has a legit Cubano sandwich! Coming from Florida we've been searching high and low for good authentic food and it was right on our block. You can't go wrong with anything you order here...it's all delicious and filling at good prices! Come and eat and hang!!

This place has amazing food so if you are going at a peak time, expect to wait. There's a coffee shop next door you can grab a coffee and wait for your table. We have been there twice now. We went on. Wednesday this time and there was no wait. I got a skillet with egg whites and veggies. It's all over their super tasty potatoes. The portions are huge! You will not leave hungry. My family got omelettes and the cinnamon swirl pancakes, which were all delicious. The server was attentive and we were treated so kindly during our whole visit. I was confused because we are from out of town and it had a different name last time. It is the same people and the same good food. They just dropped the "Stray" part of their name. Go there!! The wait is worth it.
