YY Hot Pot

When this restaurant opened, my gf asked a coworker if the menu was legitimate as they opened in Pilsen and not Chinatown. It was highly recommended. Our first visit was great. The owners even brought us out crawfish they happened to have to try. Since then, we try to visit once every other week. The food is very fresh. The atmosphere is relaxed. And the owners/staff are super nice & very attentive. I would highly, highly recommend this place to anyone.

We came to this hotpot restaurant as the other hotpot restaurants are all fully booked. I must say their service is very good, they come frequently to clear the plates, top up the soup and change our plates without the need for us to ask for it.

However, it did take a while for them to prepare the hotpot soup, and the induction cooker for our table seems to take forever to boil the hotpot. The food is really so so. The night we went, they have free crabs. By the way the restaurant is BYOB restaurant, they do not offer alcoholic drinks.

Not a lot of people here since it's kinda new but this spot hit every spot for me. The service was attentive, the meats and veggies came out quick, the ingredients seemed fresh and the broth was really tasty. I got the beef, Lamb, pork, all the different kinds of balls, the rice cakes, the mushrooms, and man they do an amazing job with the service.

I will say they seem like they're a couple run store so the service might slow down during busy hours but the food was fantastic. The broth was exactly what I wanted and the servings were great. And when we were done, they said we should eat more! They're so sweet. Plus the sauce making station is my favorite part. The only thing they're missing for me is a sweet sauce but if you need a sauce rec, trust me on this:

1 spoon:
Peanut butter, Sesame paste, cilantro, garlic, vinegar, chili oil, Sacha paste

2 spoons:
Soy sauce.

The fermented bean curd is alright too but that above is all i needed and it is GREAT. Good luck and enjoy!

Tried this place for the first time after only being open for 1 week it was a really nice experience to try a new hot pot place. the server was extremely nice and very attentive making sure we had more then enough food .
