I've always thought that by ordering online, your food would ɓe ready for pick up when you arrive. The last 2 times we went to pick up our order, there was no one at the counter. After waiting for 10 minutes, we had to scream hello! Hello! Before someone came from the back. Of course, our food was ready. It was sitting on a rack behind the counter. Customer service inside needs to improve.”

“The wings were awesome. We had a bunch of teenage boys over for a team dinner. The wings disappeared within minutes. We got multiple types: mild, medium, creole and spicy. The spicy had a little kick but were not too hot. The creole had a nice, unique Buffalo type taste. The mild ones were mouth melting. This is a definite go to now.”

I like that they smash the impossible patty so that it’s not the same texture as the thicker ones sold in grocery stores. We’ll stop by for lunch if we’re in the area. “I have been doing Salad Club for a few months now and have loved every single salad I've received. A few things that really stand out are the fresh ingredients and great customer service. Also, the salads have always been amazing, some of the dressings are just plain magic and full of flavor. There have been some salads where there were ingredients I would have never thought to put together but the combination was perfect. You can always pause the membership which I've done when out of town, so it's been helpful. Seriously recommend to all my friends! Makes a huge difference with meal planning as well.”

“Incredibly grateful to have Lao food in Chicago. The city is sleeping on Lao style papaya salad (Asian community knows Lao is the best style). I really appreciated the larb as well. I have never had it with a little grill char and it was delicious! Sticky rice was perfectly prepared. The rice had good moisture while maintaining the grain’s structure and bounce when you grab it. As a side note, the customer service was very personal and friendly. They donate a portion of their profits from every order to charities in Laos. I really hope they can get a more permanent location because Chicago definitely needs Lao food!”

“This is a deli counter located inside a gas station which sells great sandwiches! My wife and I stayed in a nearby Airbnb and it was so good we ended up getting food here three days in a row. I actually live in Oklahoma and work in a high end deli, so I have mildly high standards, but I was pleased with all three of the sandwiches I tried from here. Subs were 5.99 for 6inch or 9.99 for 12 inch (you order at the gas station counter then pick up at the deli) and were large, well-topped with condiments, and tasty. We tried a buffalo turkey sub, a white turkey sub, and their Italian beef. Both 12 inch subs were large enough to be split in two and eaten later and the Italian beef is the typical messy hot sandwich you want when you visit Chicago. The men working the deli counter were extremely friendly, quick, and professional. If I lived in this area I would eat here often. Thank you for the kind words, great service, and delicious food!”

Two small criticisms, but definitely willing to overlook as they probably need to work out a few kinks. 1. We waited over 30 mins, which seems pretty long for a place called "express." 2. They have a decent amount of seating inside but it was pretty smokey from the spits/grill. I hope they're able to ventilate the smoke a bit better going forward.”

“Okay, I was very happy with my first meal here. I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap, chopped chicken salad, and chili cheese fries. Everything was good and a large portion size. Two things stood out to me. 1. The chopped salad was excellent and very filling. Wasn't expecting that from a burger joint! 2. The fries are so good. They remind me of the double-fried fries from Al's beef. Looking forward to coming back again. Update 4/16/23: Have ordered to go several times since my original review and it's been great every time. Dined in tonight and got cheeseburgers, fried pickles and Horchata.
