So. I’m just going to clarify this. The prices are not insane like someone said a month ago, prices are probably $$-$$$ depending on what you order. I mean it’s a premium sushi restaurant not all you can eat for $25. Only reason why I took off 1 star is because the waitress could have been a bit more attentive. It took the waitress a good 5 minutes before she helped us at the door. Then, after we got seated at the sushi bar, it took her 8-10 minutes before she asked if we’re ready. She could have filled my water more often. I know they’re short staffed but there were times when she wasn’t doing anything.

The food was splendid. We did the kaidou omakase. They didn’t have soup so we got salad. It came with 3 signature appetizers, 6 sashimi, and 9 nigiri. The quality of the pieces were exceptional as well as the price. $93 per person which is pretty cheap for omakase. I’m a avid fan of Michelin tastings and omakase’s. 3 appetizers were hamachi carpaccio, scallop with ikura, and hirame crudo. There was complimentary dessert at the end. Overall, I would come back to try the regular menu. It’s definitely one of the best sushi places in the burbs.

Kaido was an exceptional sushi dining experience! The sushi itself is remarkable. Each dish was delicately prepared and the fish is so tender, soft, and melt in your mouth. I can't wait to go back, really excited we found this gem in Arlington Heights.

I had the Omakase which came with choice of soup, 3 appetizer courses, and nigiri. Ended the night with the chocolate truffle which was a delight! Each dish was better than the last, but I can't stress enough how delicious the sushi is.

The atmosphere is lovely! It's a small restaurant, but wonderfully decorated. It is BYOB and they'll help open your wine bottle. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. They helped explain the dishes and made some recommendations.

    Already planning on going back!

Than you to the owners for a wonderful time. I found this amazing place while we were out in Schaumburg for the night. We made the drive and we didn’t regret it one bit.
The presentation and flavor of every dish was absolutely amazing. The only thing missing was the sake, that we weren’t able to find at the Jewel across the street.
We can’t wait to go back!!!

After a horrible experience at another Arlington heights sushi restaurant, I needed to get some good. This place delivered. My wife and I both got the omakase and a few rolls. Fresh, inventive, and new. I've eaten a lot of sushi in my life and there were nigiri pieces I've never had the pleasure of meeting before. Great food and great service. Wish I would have known it was BYOB before I sat down... but now I do.
