We were so excited to check out this new Korean BBQ place, and it did not disappoint! The quality of the meat makes this place truly stand out from all the others - so tender that it just melts in your mouth! They don't serve the usual array of traditional Korean banchan, but instead, the orders of meat come with set appetizers (oyster, scallop ceviche, japchae, and 2 salads). The salads were good on their own, but delicious with the meats. Loved the ambiance of the restaurant and the service was excellent! Highly recommend!!
We explored nearly all of the barbecue spots in Chicago. This place is an absolute gem! The meat here is exceptional, truly out of this world. Every bite simply melts in your mouth. If you're on the hunt for a Korean barbecue joint that serves the highest quality meat, look no further. And The seafood pancake here is unexpectedly delicious too!
The servers are top-notch professionals who are not only skilled but also incredibly friendly. Without a doubt, we'll be returning to this place in the future!
What a welcome addition to the neighborhood! The service is top notch and the staff were all very friendly, informative, and eager to assist with anything we needed.
The food is incredible, the meat on its own was amazing but trying it marinated, or with the house made salt, or with the salad, all brought out new taste combinations and we loved every bite. Do not wait to check this place out, we will be back very soon!
Meat: Kbbq restaurants do not offer super high quality of meat in the burbs. Marbling does and lives up to its name. Minimal chewing needed since the meat is so tender. You don't need extra sauce or pepper to bring out the flavor.
Side dishes: Basic onion and green onion salad, but onion one has a unique mustard/wasabi hint that other kbbq places don't have.
Cost: Pricier than other kbbq restaurants in the area, but you're paying for quality. The nice seafood appetizers come with the meat serving.
Service: Yo. They used a surface thermometer to check the temp of the grill before cooking the first piece. I have never seen a kbbq place do that ever. Staff was nice enough to come around regularly to help cook meat and check if we needed anything. If you've been to a lot of kbbq places, you know staff rarely cook the meat for you. I would consider this place beginner kbbq friendly.
I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves meat. As the name suggests, the marbling is fantastic and this is a place where you can taste high-quality beef that is on a different level from any other kbbq places. The restaurant also has a nice atmosphere.
