“We live in the neighborhood and go in for Happy Hour often and "special occasion dinners". We are never disappointed by our experience. The service and atmosphere are fantastic and of course the food is some of the best around. Recently they celebrated National Margarita Day by offering some of the best tacos I've ever had. They did a halibut taco and a short rib taco that impressed this transplanted Arizonan. The corn tortilla was warm and slightly crispy and the halibut was lightly breaded and as fresh as can be. The short rib taco was also very tasty. I was also impressed by their salsa which is made in-house and had just the right amount of heat. I am hoping they offer these on their bar menu again soon as I don't want to wait for Margarita Day to roll around again to have a halibut taco that good, (and I don't think I'll find a better one in the meantime).”

My girlfriend and I both got frozen yogurt, chili, and sandwiches. Great food at a very reasonable price. On Saturday they have game nights where you can get discounts, play board games, and even have complimentary hot cider, or lemonade. We'll definitely be coming back.”

“Blaze Pizza in Evanston is a great concept, and wildly liked, but I've been having a couple of issues. The service is incredibly slow. When I came in the other day, I waited about three minutes to first be asked what I'd like, and then another couple minutes before someone came over to actually have the pizza made. They have great vegan options, and even have vegan cutters, but I regularly have to request them as it seems like staff aren't being trained to use them by default. Overall, it took about 15-20 minutes from when I walked in the door to when I left with pizza in hand, and they advertise a 3-minute process.”

“I don't recall if I have ever had Panera Bread's food - I have had coffee at various locations a few times when meeting with people, over the years. But this time we found ourselves close to the Evanston store and heading home around dinnertime, and ordered takeout. We each got a half sandwich and side 'two-for meal. The Cuban and Italian sandwiches were good, a little overpowered by the mustard slathered on, to my taste. BUT the Turkey Chili side dish was an experience! I never expected such great chili in a place like this....but it rocks! I am picky about chili, and have even competed at a Terlingua Cook-Off event. I will go back just for this chili - and get a larger portion next time! Also, food was ready and service fast after ordering on-line. TRY THIS CHILI!!”

“The environment was very warm and pleasant. The waiters were very nice and respectful. You can grab some of the stuffed animals and just relax with some friends there. The food is alright from what I have had. Something with the sushi's texture makes me feel weird. I have had sushi at other place in downtown Chicago and played a fortune for it, but the texture is weird here. All the other food is fine though; dumplings, tea, egg rolls, ginger ale. Their ginger ale is supposed to be very good the two other people I was there with suggested it was amazing. Overall the restaurant is a quiet nook to hang out with friends or family and eat.”
