“Was excited to see something go into this space, and Frida's did not disappoint. Great brunch menu with both traditional breakfast and some amazing Mexican inspired dishes. Service and food were great, can't wait to go back!”

“Limited menu options makes ordering easy and the prices is reasonable. The staff working during our visit were very friendly and helpful in answering our questions. There are only a few spots for seating, so don't plan on dining here with a larger group.”

“I enjoyed my early breakfast here. It opens at 6:30a which is great since there isn't a lot of places open around that time nearby. I tried the Mexican Omelet. It was good. Wonderful waitress. She has great customer service. The coffee was good. Overall a good experience here. Looking forward to more meals.”

“During my recent visit to Chicago, I wanted to see what all the "Chicago Deep-Dish Pizza" fuss was about... Needless to say, I'm hooked! Giordano's Pizza definitely gave me the authentic deep-dish experience. I highly recommend "The Special" (cheese, green peppers, and mushrooms), which according to my friend (a Chicago native) is the definitive deep-dish experience. I'm not even a mushroom fan, but this pizza makes them worth it! Our service was EXCELLENT. Also, I love their t-shirts, which sum up my opinion of the restaurant... Save The Earth... It's the only planet with Giordano's!”

“Beautiful inside, like a Hawaiian jungle on a winter’s day! Love that you can choose as many toppings as you like, no charge. Only complaint is too much rice- wish there was 25% less, and packed instead w more nutritional toppings.”

“The food here was absolutely delicious. It was probably some of the best I’ve had in a while. The chefs and servers were so nice and happy to help if you needed something. It was awesome to watch them cook the food right in front of you. Their skills were amazing. Overall it was an amazing place that I can’t wait to come back to.”

“Authentic and delicious Taiwanese food. Service can be a little slow sometimes so order ahead if you're in a hurry. I gave them 4 stars over a year ago. However, they raised the price of many items over the year, including some of my go-to rice dishes. I still visit them when I crave certain Taiwanese food. But at this point I feel like it's not really worth it anymore, so down to 3 stars.”

“The food is excellent. Located in the downtown Evanston area, this restaurant is a must try place. The restaurant isn't all that big, so there might be a wait during dinner hours. There is a full service bar with many choices from cocktails, beer, and wine; all priced well. The food is tapas style, as the name suggests. It is small servings of food so I highly recommend ordering at least two or more plates. The quality of the food is great. Everything I ordered came out hot, fresh, and flavorful. Everything from the seafood to the meat dishes were made to perfection. The ingredients harmonize with one another. There is a very cozy atmosphere. The servers are top notch; very friendly and welcoming. Restaurant is very clean. Restrooms are clean. Street parking available nearby. I highly recommend this restaurant.”

“Venezuelan cuisine. What is surprising is that the food has many vegetarian dishes, because this place is near Northwestern. They really know how to fry. The fried stuff is crisp and fluffy, without being oily. I would go here to load up on the fried stuff.”

“An amazing little restaurant in evanston! It's an amazing hot pot place with attentive staff and clean, cute decor. There are a lot of options on the menu including some delicious non-hot pot items. The hot pot is absolutely delicious! I usually get the fatty beef hot pot, the broth is flavorful and the beef is really tender. It comes with a few different sides as well!”

“Delicious meal, kid friendly! We had a fun family Valentine's dinner here. Park behind the library and it's just a short walk. Definitely will return.”

“We had ordered firecracker chicken, pan fried noodles, chicken fried rice, fried ice cream and seasonal tarts. Everything tasted great except for seasonal tarts and we weren't charged for it. Beware spicy food here is real spicy, too hot! Service and food both were awesome. Since this is in Evanston downtown, parking can sometimes be an issue”

“Very good food and milkshakes. All food is made to order so there will be a wait. The only issue is that the wait can be too long at times. Also, they are very affordable as a full meal is usually 4-6 dollars for 3-4 items”

“The Subway restaurant I ate at was clean, the food was good, and the person that helped me had a great sense of humor. The atmosphere was quiet and typical for a Subway that's inside a service station mini market.”

“We went here for a party. The private space was nice, spacious, and separate from the rest of the restaurant. Appetizers were served and they were absolutely delicious. Even basics like grilled-cheese sandwiches and mac n' cheese were so so good. They had a full bar and drinks were really good too. We had a good time and will consider this place for private parties and just to come have a delicious dinner in the future.”

“The food was great and the service was kind, cheerful, and attentive. Im so glad i found it in time for valentines day! Our whole family loved it. The music and lighting were great! Set the mood without being obtrusive. There's a real family-like atmosphere. The interior is clean, minimal, sophisticated and spacious. There is a real attention to detail in the furnishings. It was the kind, personable, human touch that impressed us and will keep us coming back!”

“Okay, so we lived in this area for years before we found Bill's, driving past it on Asbury hundreds of times, but eventually we saw it reviewed on some TV show when someone we actually knew was interviewed there. Then we checked it out, and have returned ever since when we have wanted a taste of old school drive-in good grease. There are the smallish, thin burgers usually served as doubles or more, hot dogs, Polish sausage, real ice cream shakes, and FRENCH FRIES. Why do I shout about the fries? The thick cut frozen fries? Because if you know to order them "extra crispy" then those ordinary fries will be dropped into the oil while you watch and turned into something sublime... beyond potatoes. But you must begin eating them quickly because they wait for no one, and no ride. So here is the downside:. Bill's is take out only, no place to eat in. In nice weather you will see folks eating in the parking lot, but mostly you see folks running to their cars and scooting on out of there. This is only an occasional indulgence, but for old school (I have heard the number 50 years tossed around) they have been doing something very right.”
