“We really enjoy Palmer’s. Their burgers are always perfectly cooked and they have an awesome selection. For the first time ever, we had dessert - carrot cake! This was on the house for an order that wasn’t cooked well, which they took off of the bill too. That was unexpected and really nice of them to do for us! Recommend their Berlin burger, steak sandwich, and any of the beers they have on tap. Yum!”

“First time here. Very nice place, food and service were great. From conversations we heard between waiter and guests at other tables it sounded like many of them are known by the staff as repeat customers, that is a good sign. The salsa that came with the chips is very different but good. Only negative is some of the dishes and glassware we were served with had chips in them. Prices are a little high, food and drinks for two was about $120.”

“I wish I could go in between stars - 4.5. Yau’s is our go-to place for Thai food and we are starting to dabble in their Chinese food menu. We love eating there and feeling the history and home of La Grange, and also appreciate how fast they are for takeout. It’s so speedy! Favorites include the duck curry - it’s creamy and perfectly seasoned, the Thai egg rolls are great, Vietnamese fried rice was unique and delicious. Try this place out, you won’t be disappointed!”

“Three stars because I ended up in the bathroom for most of the night after I ate here. My girlfriend ordered the same stuff and was fine, otherwise I'd rate it one star. Likely will not go back as I don't need to take a chance. Went there for Valentine's Day 2019. We made reservations and were seated quickly. The server was courteous and the atmosphere we really nice. This place has that American upscale casual look that you see in most restaurants today. People dressed the part, a bit more formally, I assume because it was Valentine's Day. The service was Soo, however. It took almost an hour to get served our main course, after we sat down, although the appetizer came within a reasonable time. The food was tasty.”

“We LOVE Lucca’s! We’ve been here a few times now and it’s consistently pretty delicious. Dinner last night was fettuccini Alfredo with shrimp - so creamy and shrimp perfectly cooked, lasagna - a signature here it’s so good, and calamari - which was also really well cooked. What really makes them stand out is their service - Milly, the manager, is the kindest person and everyone seems like they love working there and always want to help. Great local spot!”

“Arguably Chicago’s best pizza. And I’ve tried it ALL. They are all over the south and west suburbs but I frequent La Grange location the most. The thin crust is fantastic. The deep dish is great. A sweet sauce, salty cheese, perfect crust. Get the deep dish pizza for dessert! The restaurant is also very friendly to my brother who has special needs. Everything from the French toast to the omelettes are always cooked with care. This place is usually busy, just walk in and grab a seat. “Edit: I recently ordered a take out order from this restaurant and the service was beyond inexcusable. Therefore I have updated my review. We were told our order would be ready by 6:50PM. This was already 30 minutes after placing the order. It took an additional 20 minutes to receive our food after arriving at the expected pick up time—after asking where our food was. We were offered no apology rather staff members that seemed to be “hiding” from the problem. Several other customers were in and out with their pick up order with ease. The restaurant was busy this night but that is no excuse for the type of service we received. Waiting nearly 50 minutes for a take out order is unacceptable, with no apology of any sort or any action taken to resolve the issue. 3 stars for the service I’ve received in the past (below) but I will question a quick decision to continue eating here. The service is always great! Food is good. We came on a Thursday night, it appeared to be very slow (I think there was only one other table seated) and they served this beautifully decorated plate, unexpectedly. It was a pleasant surprise! Edamame is always served as a starter for free and honeydew melon served as a free dessert! Wonderful place for date night!”
