Nice local family friendly bar restaurant on a prominent downtown corner.

Absolutely incredible! Ghost pepper Mac and cheese is insanely good. Please don't let the ghost pepper part scare you as it's not hot. Still have yet to find a better Mac and cheese to date

Wilmette is always a refreshing town to visit, and Nick's Neighborhood Bar and Grill adds some variety to the area.

Immediately greeted, the hostess seated my guest and I at a two top. The seating is intimate, and there is conversational privacy, however the atmosphere of the bar and kitchen being so close to the main dining area...doesn't make it feel private.

The kitchen was definitely working hard-it was a busy time, however we never had an empty glass, or felt neglected.

I like to have a smorgasbord because I like options. I tried: Mussels, Smoked Chicken Wings, Spicy Five-Way Cheese N' Mac, and of course a full slab of Smoked Baby Back Ribs, and drinks.

Mussels were delicious and fresh, I never pass any menu with mussels, and these didn't disappoint.

I did get the mango mabanero flavored chicken wings, while they were more sweet than spicy-the smoked flavor makes up for it. These are good chicken wings.

The mac n' cheese is honestly the only thing I needed to order. There is alot happening in each bite. There are 5 types of cheese, and BBQ pork tops it off. Lots of flavor.

I was disappointed with the ribs. I'm a Chicago guy and among a host of other things, I love my ribs. The ribs here are tender, they fall off the bone, they smell wonderful but I was bothered by how little flavor I tasted. I had to remind myself to keep tasting for a smoky flavor, because I didn't taste it in each bite.

Altogether I spent about $100 including drinks.

All in all, a good place to check out, especially if you're near Wilmette.
