Happy Chef

2 Lanterns Cafe opened in the former Happy Chef location, in a recently remodeled and modern layout. Ordered a smoothie and a Mongolian beef dinner, which were both solid. Looking forward to trying additional items from 2 Lanterns Cafe.

The food is really good but the price is not so much!! For the same amount of food you would get at Panda Express you can get food here which tastes the same!! Thus me giving the rating. It does however have a nice Chinese setting.

3.5 stars is really about right. I love the old dude that runs the joint, great old funny guy. Most of the time the food is really REALLY good....I have had disappointments here though. Don't know why. Also, most of time the egg rolls are to die for....Awesome...Give it a try and hope for "most of the time". Prices are worth an occasional disappointment anyway.

I don't know why there are so many bad reviews about this place. The people there are very nice and the food is great for the price. This place is especially great for people or students who are on a budget and want cheap Chinese food. They have many items on their menu that usually cost one or two dollars more in other places and they usually give you free egg rolls, cookies and even fried rice for their lunch and dinner specials. They may not have the best Chinese food, but their portions are really generous and is really good for the price.
