Butter and Brown Bistro

This place is local and black owned so we definitely wanted to give it a try. We ordered the shrimp and grits , biscuits and sausage gravy, w/ 2 eggs 2 bacon , and 2, and the chicken and waffles but unfortunately the waitress forgot to put that in the order, but it’s a Belgian waffle with 3 wings. The food was good A LOT of cheese on the grits and the shrimp wasn’t seasoned. I love cheese so I was cool with it but depends on your level of cheese love. The biscuits and sausage gravy was different because it was sliced sausage patties instead of crumbles. Customer service was nice but didn’t get checked on. I’d eat here again if in the area.

The customer service (Brittany) was EXCELLENT, she was informative and polite. She called to let me know any changes made to our order and was very upbeat.
And the food was AMAZING!!! The portions are big and the packaging was very sustainable. Will be ordering from here and recommending to others.

Our first time visiting will NOT be our last. Authentic southern style food. Chicken & waffles with proper skillet fried Chicken, corned beef hash, cheese grits, apple & cinnamon pancakes all delivered. Everything is cooked fresh and so worth the wait. Will be back to try everything else on the menu.

Not only is the steak skillet one of the least expensive ones I’ve ever seen, but somehow, it’s also one of the best. And that pancake? *chef’s kiss*. Keeping this one on our list of brunch places for sure.

FYI: They were experiencing some difficulty keeping up with orders last weekend, after some recent Facebook popularity. Brunch was definitely later than expected. Call ahead or order at the counter to get an accurate wait time!

Just had our first meal with Butter and Brown Bistro. The food was delicious and plentiful. With that said, the highlight was the cheerful customer service provided by Brittany. She was simply wonderful!! She called to let us know details about our order that we could change and then called to say our order was ready sooner than confirmed. She was a delight when we arrived. Tasty food + excellent service = we will be back!
