Portillo's Hot Dogs

Fast food chain. This location has a drive thru and ample parking. The menu is large, but most come here for the Italian Beef. I really enjoyed the milk shake too.

Did the drive through, paid but no receipt, got a combo and onion rings. Should have known as the bag seemed light. Got 4 rings and kiddie beef. Tastes good. But sorry this is Chicago with way better choices!

Giving this Portillo's location 3 stars this time because it took forever for them to take my order. I ordered Tuscan chicken salad and clam chowder to go. I was impressed with the size of the container the soup was in and looked forward to some good clam chowder. To my disappointment, it was watery and had an orange film that looked like grease on top. I stirred it around and didn't see any pieces of clam in there. There was however corn! Never have I seen corn in clam chowder before! I love corn! But I would have preferred CLAMS in my clam chowder! Thumbs down on that one Portillo's! Salad was good! But the chowder ruined my lunch!

Great fries,crispy outside. Good and friendly service at drive-up, but be prepared to wait in your car because of crowd. Great Chicago style hot dog place, go there. I tried something new,the breaded chicken sandwich,don't bother and stick with their specialty,hot dogs,fries,burgers and did I mention their Chocolate cake. It's a felony in some areas of town- that wickedly good. I have also fallen in love with the Portillos chopped salad,excellent.

This place serves a variety or food for just about whatever your taste buds crave. I've never been before, so I ordered something simple and quick. Chicken tenders and onion rings. I must say, their onion rings are a hand batter, fresh to order type deal. I absolutely loved that. The chicken tenders didnt have much special to them, other than they did taste good. So no complaints with food. Staff are friendly, and place is clean. I'd say I would go again and try their open flame grilled burgers next time or chili cheese dogs.
