“As other have said, the menu is what makes this restaurant a must visit. The Italian beef was cooked well and thin sliced. I was very tempted to try one of their individual pizzas, but opted instead for a cheeseburger recommended by the person who took our order. It was a great recommendation, and was fresh. The fries were very crisp, and not greasy (which is unusual at a fast food place). We showed up in time to order a half-priced milkshake at happy hour, and we both commented on how good it was. Once you order (if you are dining in), you take a seat and the staff bring your food to you. A couple of snafus here--the parking lot is really small, especially when they get busy. Also, I ordered cheese on my burger (extra charge), yet the burger came out without any cheese. When I called it to their attention, they did correct it. In addition, I had to wait what seemed like a very long time to receive my milkshake, and even had to go back up to the counter to ask them about it. It was definitely worth the wait, however. Yes, we would go back and eat there again, because we really liked the food.”

“Nice little place with a decent menu selection. The chips, flautas, and beans were all very flavorful. Taco was...mediocre, not much flavor but I will say the meat was tender and not full of gristle/fat. There is spacious seating and a friendly staff. Order at the counter and they bring it out to you. Handicap accessible and there is a small parking lot.”

“I'm 49 years old I've been going to this place since I've been 10 years old and they were located on South Pulaski Avenue in Chicago. Back then I would ride my bike with my friends to go get gravy bread sandwiches. And I believe they were $0.30 a piece then. The Italian beef sandwiches. My favorite sandwich they have. Still reasonably priced under $6. And the hand-cut french fries art delicious. And let's not forget about the Italian Ice which is delicious all in its own. One more thing that I like at Chickie's is the jumbo slice of pizza and drink for $6 which is actually a quarter of a large pizza. You will never walk away from their hungry.”
