The menu is not as delicate as many other Italian restaurants, but it is on the higher end of the scale for food flavor for Southern Italian cuisine in the near west suburbs. Once I had the sausage risotto dish, I can never have anything else ever again! OMG! They took it off the menu but they still make it for me on request. If you love Italian sausage, it transforms rice, which I normally hate, into an amazing meal with some tomatoes and tiny bit of arugula. The wine and beverages are limited here, but always suitable for pairing a quality drink with your meal. But you come to this place for the food!

(December 14, 2018, 6:25 pm)Mattone is a great place. I don't think it is possible to have a bad meal there. The brick oven in three middle of the room is fascinating to watch. I highly recommend them.

(December 9, 2018, 8:33 pm)Went there after a funeral. The food and service is very good. We had family style chicken, vegetables, soup, salad, pork, potatoes. Italian restaurant.
