We were looking for a place that sold jerk chicken. As I searched, all the jerk chicken restaurants were too far. Then I remembered this grocery store that specialized in Jamaican products. I also remembered that they cooked dinners. I called and ordered dinner. The plantains were delicious. We liked the cabbage and jerk chicken. Will definitely be back. The customer service is excellent. I really appreciated the service.
I ordered the jerk chicken and cabbage with rice and peas and plantain, and a beef patty everything was so delicious! Also the price was great for dinner I ordered and it came with three sides. I will definitely be back. The customer service here is also great too. Everyone is very friendly and my Oder was ready fast as well. Love this place!
Wow! Tried Kingston for the first time and it was incredible. Ordered the oxtail dinner with rice and peas with plantains which was outstanding. Ordered jerk tips but they ran out, restaurant called to notify, swapped to jerk chicken and I'm glad the mishap happened! Clearly someone's grandma is in this kitchen throwing down because the tenderness on this chicken don't make no sense. Chef's kiss!!
I'm a Jamaican so I love anything Jamaican lol. Where I live in the US makes it hard to get access to Jamaican products so when I learned of this place, I was excited. I also bought cooked food from the Curried goat which if you have never eaten, you need to try it. I could tell a Jamaican cooked it. I don't need to try everything on the menu to tell they have a good chef. Very delicious and the portion size is very good. I recommend this place for your Jamaican snacks and groceries or just go for the food, that by itself will have you going back.
The food was 20/10. That’s all I have to say. I really wanted to try the jerk egg rolls but they were sold out by 2pm tells you everything you need to know. We got two jerk chicken tacos, a side of plantains, a side of yams and a side of Mac & cheese. All of the sides were 10/10. The tacos came with a side of jerk sauce and it had the perfect amount of spice. The chicken was fresh and perfectly cooked. The taco came with cheese (it might have been American), onion and cilantro on a flour tortilla. The sides are bigger than I thought but for the price it’s 100% worth it. It was a 35 minute drive for me but I am going to be coming here any chance I get. If you’re having any doubts or contemplating on coming here PLEASE try it. You will not regret it. I will definitely be back to try the egg rolls and everything else on the menu.
