I've had a lot of hazelnut coffee and baked goods from Panera. And that over easy egg with cheese and bacon literally bursts its goodness from a brioche! But who knew I'd get clam chowder that actually tasted like New England "chowdah"?! Around here, so-called clam chowders often taste more like potato soup with a very few protesting clams dragged through. But Panera's was rich and creamy, loaded with clams! With an ample crust of bread, this old retired Midwest clergyman, dreamt it was years ago; he was back in seminary outside of Boston, slurping down the best!!!
I like they can look up rewards by phone number. I always get the Pick 2, Bacon turkey bravo with the broccoli cheddar soup. Always tasty.
The food is normally pretty good, it's clean and they have your food ready quickly when you order via rapid pickup. After eating here probably 40 times over the last 3 years (they are in the parking lot of the corporate center at work) is they don't make anything right when they screw up. The catering is run by corporate & they surprise them with last minute orders, so things fall behind, but if my rapid pick up isn't going to be ready on time I would like an email notification so I don't walk across the parking lot to pick it up. Also if they screw up your order (which doesn't happen often) they don't compensate you in any way, you just get stuck with the wrong order, they don't correct it. Just remember to always say no Miso sauce or they will put it on everything.
It has been a while since I have visited a Panera Bread restaurant. But I'm glad I came into this one! The options for ordering food were plenty; kiosk, app, counter. Service was quick and courteous. I ordered to go from the kiosk which was a simple process but did not get a receipt which I needed. After eating a portion of my delicious meal in the store, it was time to go. I asked the worker who originally gave me my bag of food 15 minutes earlier if I could have a receipt. Too my surprise even after having encountered several people after me, she remembered my name!! That was impressive. At this store, I wasn't a number but a valued customer. I felt like that.
