Met a friend here for breakfast today and ordered the brisket hash. The food was delicious and the brisket was perfectly cooked. I always order my eggs over medium and this one took the prize. The edges were nice and crispy but the egg yolk still had a little runny bit inside. Just perfect! My favorite part of the meal was the honey butter thru brought to spread on the toast. They get 5 stars for that alone. The place was crowded and loud so it wasn't ideal for good conversation with my friend, but nevertheless we had a great time.
Food was so good! Many of us had the surf n surf special with shrimp salmon eggs and hash browns . Delicious! Also the French toast sampler delicious . My favorite is probably the strawberry but Carmel was bomb too! Our waiter was super great he was maybe Jamaican with locs. Coming back!
First time here, finally. Been trying to get into the other location for a few years to see what the hype was about. The FOOD WAS GREAT!!! Everyone at the table was well pleased with their selection. The 4 stars is because the service wasn't the best that it could be, and the glasses and silverware were dirty. My glass literally had lip-print glitter lip gloss on it. But the food was so good, I would definitely visit again!!
Update: I did visit again, and it was just as GREAT as it was the first time, so I took pics!!! If you visit, try the lobster omelet (pics posted), and please encourage them to add it to the menu permanently!
So Chris and I visited the new Batter & Berries in Olympia Fields today. So first off, let me say I had no idea it existed. I haven't seen not one advertisement. I so happen to Google brunch in South suburbs and it came up. I then read the reviews for this location and unlike the original location which has a 4.5, this one has a 3.8. So I was skeptical. Well let me tell yall this always try for yourself and go for what you know. I know that I like the original location so I'm like I'm trying it (mind you I don't go nowhere unless it's a 4.4 and up). So the service was excellent. Hostesses and waitress awesome. Manager very personable. Food delicious. Hashbrowns seasoned to perfection..oh and it look like they are waiting on their liquor license because there is a bar but don't forget you can bring your on champagne to make mimosas. Well I absolutely enjoyed. I will be back maybe next week.
Clean restaurant. Great food. Friendly service. Food was prepared in good timing. I ordered for takeout. I called ahead of time to get a little more information on the menu items. The attendant was super helpful and gave me better insight to the menu. We ordered a spinach omelet, strawberry French toast, and an adult grilled cheese sandwich. Everything was so flavorful, fresh, and delicious. My food was prepared in a timely manner. The food was also nicely packed in sturdy containers. I look forward to going back. The food was reasonably priced, and the food portions were a nice size.
