I tend to come here with a bunch of my co-workers and it is easy to reserve tables for a larger group of people here. Having the buffet option available makes it quite nice to get up and eat as soon as you arrive. Chicago Dough also has gluten free options for those with special dietary requirements.
Small cozy restaurant with nostalgic decor consisting of old pictures and advertisements. The "Spectacular" deep dish pizza is excellent, can't speak for the rest. Service is good, but our server at least didn't know the menu items very well when asked to compare. The booths are solid wood, so not the most comfortable, but the angle of the booth seats is at least decent.
I like the atmosphere in all pizzerias. Chicago dough company has quite nice and cozy. The pizza is very good but expensive but I can't argue about the prices on pizza when it's really good.. I love how the crust at all edges curl up.
The staff at CDC are great, however, the facility could use a complete renovation. I love all of the old relics but the rest of the dining area is worn and needs replacement from the tables/ booths to the carpets they all need replacement. The old Chicago and local history theme should remain!!! The dining area could use an additional 1000 more Square feet, Both restrooms are outdated and need expanding and updating. I've been coming to this place for more than 30 years and the dining area has always been very cold in the winter. The food here is great (best pizza in the area). The kitchen could also use some modernizing and expanding. I would again suggest a complete renovation and adding a second level to the current location. This place could easily grow it's well-established place in the community, increase its profitability and expand its customer base.
