Kuties

Just picked up a corn beef meat absolutele tender bread is thin for the amount of meat trust me you get a lot of meat. However corn beef is a Hit or miss this time it was too much Salt. A lot of Salt.
Was only able to eat a 3rd of the sandwich for fear of my blood pressure going up lol
But if you don't mind the salt. I would definitely give it a 8 The Bread just needs to be thicker In order to hold this much meat.
Looking forward to trying some of the Other sandwiches.

I saw this establishment on social media and decided to give them a try. I ordered a "Big Beef" and a Fruit Punch Lemonade Kool Aid for my first time patronizing Kuties. The sandwich was good. The Corned Beef wasn't to salty. I LIKE THAT!!! Not enough meat in my opinion for the price they charge though but giving the benefit of the doubt. They were pretty busy so maybe the lady in the back preparing the food was rushing, and shorted me by mistake. The kool aid was pretty good as well. (I'll be sure to request lite ice next time) I only hope that the wait isnt so long to get the food my next visit. I do understand that the food is made to order but 50 mins for 1 sandwich is to long and there definitely needs to be more than one person in back preparing the food.

My friend sent me the Instagram reel showcasing their Kutie Shoe and I wanted to try it out. For those of you that aren't from the Chicagoland area, a Kutie Shoe is their version of the legendary Gym Shoe sandwich that consist of corned beef, gyros and Italian beef meat on a soft sub roll with lettuce, tomato and whatever other condiments you might want.

This was my first visit to Kuties. They have regular and frozen kool aid drinks. I waited about 25 minutes for my food but the wait is probably shorter if everyone is there but it was a one person crew for about 15 minutes so she did her best. I opted for the Glo(grape and lemonade mix) and it was good. A little sweet for my liking but that's because I like my kool-aid to have a bitter sweet balance but again it was good.

Now on to the Kutie Shoe.
The positives: The bread was soft yet toasted on the inside just right. As you can see, it is a good looking sandwich. It was tasty and filling.
The negative: Not enough balance of the three meats. The corned and Italian beef meat was scarce on the sandwich with shavings here and there. Majority of the sandwich consisted of gyros meat. Other Gym Shoes I've tried had a good balance with one not powering the others. I think if Kutie finds that balance, it'll be their best seller. I live in the city and could have gotten a Gym Shoe without the travel but I purposely traveled to Calumet City to try their version. I felt a little cheated but feel if I'm ever out that way, I'd stop by, I'll just make sure to ask them to balance it out. Also add napkins to the bags because most of us eat on the car & don't have em available. Overall, it was a decent experience.
