Ruby's Soul Food

This restaurant offers the best soul food that I have had in a long time. Everything was clean. The server made you feel comfortable, and she was very knowledgeable about the food. The gentleman who cleared the table was polite and friendly. The young lady who refreshed our drinks was polite and friendly as well. I will recommend this place to everyone I know and to anyone I meet. The owner, Mr. Henderson happened to come in, and we talked for a while before he introduced himself and asked if we had any feedback about the service or anything 😉 else. This is a great place to visit on those days that you don't want to.

Finally a Five Star earned, we don’t give five stars often if at all; especially for a first time visit. Soul Foodies know that for some restaurants it seems that Salt is the only seasoning that is in the pantry. Here that is NOT a thing. The Food here is EXCELLENT, the staff is courteous and the Owner is Professional and concerned about the food quality and the customers satisfaction, yes we did have a chance to speak with the owner. Our guests were satisfied, this was the first time we brought guests to a first time visit to a restaurant.

An amazing experience. Southern like.. Cafeteria style buffet and grilled fried options. Personnel on point..friendly welcoming. Had lots of varieties of sweet teas. They also have a banquet/event room. They have stepper and line dance classes. I had enough food to last 2 days. Great neighborhood/South Suburbs hidden gem.
