Drink prices were pretty steep and the selection was very limited, unless you want wine. As a beer drinker I was disappointed. The food was delicious and there was a LOT of it. Service was also pretty great.
My wife and I love this restaurant. We have been dining here for years . The food is great and the portions are large. The wine and the drinks are generous. The service is excellent and the prices are very fair. Donna the owner is a great person and her son Maucerio runs a very great family restaurant .I would recommend this restaurant to everyone .
.
Awesome food and even better service. Very accommodating for our 91 year old grandmother's birthday. We brought our own cake and they brought us dishes and silverware. Linda is a great server! Ask for her if you can.
We really enjoyed our dinner, but there was a large group of people that were drinking & talking very loudly at the bar area for most of the time we were there.
The food was excellent, but my hubby & I had a hard time carrying on a conversation because it was quite loud there!
We have been there a few other times and had been very pleased. I'm sure we will go back again. But, next time we will ask to be seated away from the noise makers!
I saw the restaurant being featured on Chicago's Best so I took my friend here for her birthday. We felt really welcomed until our waitress starting serving us. She was moving so fast I was unable to order my appetizer and she walked away when I would attempt to ask questions about the menu. When asked about fan favorites, she was so busy, she didn't have time to engage us as new customers.
I informed management that she was very frank with us and even gave her the benefit of the doubt by saying maybe she was overwhelmed from having to serve large groups seated in our section. Management was very gracious and said they would speak with her. They even gave me my appetizer for free and checked on us throughout dinner service. When the waitress returned she simply said, we just have fast service around here, that's just how it is.
Since it was my friend's birthday, I asked the waitress if they celebrated customer's birthdays, as I had seen staff bring out a dish while singing happy birthday to another customer when I arrived. The waitress told me
"Well you all already received a free appetizer and we don't do that here so we don't have any thing else for free". I was APPALLED and my friend- the birthday girl- just dropped her head. Needless to say, as we're waiting on the bill, staff comes out with a dish and a candle singing happy birthday to a customer at a table behind us.
The food was great and management was welcoming and hospitable but my experience was ruined by my waitress Nickie. Not sure if I'd return.
