“Gordon Ramsey would have a field day saying how the place is outdated. That's all the charm. This place had massive dining areas, we sat in a booth with a vinyl tablecloth that was ripped and the table underneath was this gold speckled melamine top. The decor had a contrast to the photos in our booth which was the dining room from the 50s the paintings were hung crooked and the lighting fixtures were dusty. This place is a hipster goldmine. The food was great. The atmosphere was making me giddy”

This is in fact false. the restaurant now known as Pizzeria Uno in downtown Chicago at 29 E Ohio St, Chicago, IL 60611 was the first deep dish pizza establishment and opened in 1943.”

“Excellent food! Friendly staff! Small sitting area, however, 6 of us were able to put tables together to eat. Bathroom was poor. Service was fast and acceptable. Price is very fair! My wife is Moroccan and she is usually quiet critical on Moroccan restaurants, however, she approved this one! Best items we liked were Tajine with prunes, Chicken Tajine with olives, Lamb chops, Musummun ( fried bread), and mint tea. Restaurant doesn’t look much and appear like a quick stop for locals, but food is quiet authentic and delicious at a very fair price! Parking is on the street. Highly recommend!”

“I LOVE the pizza here! At first the price of a “slice” may be unappealing at first but the slice is HUGE, which is why I used quotes around slice. The slice is about half a regular large pizza maybe a little less. It’s a nice little place to stop In and have a meal. My only complaint (if it even is one) is that I would love there to be tables. The only seats are a bar-like so there is little room for that MASSIVE DELICIOUS pizza. That is my only “complaint” but it shouldn’t bother you too much. Or you could just take the pizza home which is also a great option. I totally recommend this place to pizza-lovers.”

The staff is very friendly and accommodating by asking if we would like to dine in as opposed to carry out. It's very cozy with a comfortable sectional couch situated directly in front of a television to add to it's homey feeling. Their pizza is AWESOME, deep dish, pan and thin crust. To top it off, it's also BYOB. It's very reasonably priced and the pizza is not the only thing that is delicious.
