“I’m so glad to finally have a Domino’s Pizza nearby. I’m even more glad that they provide excellent service. I ordered pizza and stuffed cheesy bread. Both were delivered hot and delicious. Unfortunately, they forgot to bring the dipping sauce that I requested. I called and spoke to a manager who was eager to make things right. He offered to bring it to me but I declined. The next day I stopped by the store on my way home and the manager on duty was so professional and accommodating. She gave me extra sauce and offered free breadsticks to go with it. I appreciate great service. I will definitely be ordering again.”

“I wanted something green and veggies since I was overeating from Thanksgiving. As recommended by the cashier, I ordered the Mr. Green smoothie and wasn't expecting much because vegetables are not my favorite. But wow, what a surprise, the green smoothie is beyond delicious. They really make vegetables taste good and it's just what I needed. Workers are very nice and took their time to explaining the menu to me. They have a good selection of fresh pressed juices and fresh smoothies also, can't wait to try them out. I'm pretty sure they will be tasty as well.”

“I really like this restaurant and how it is laid out inside. It looks to specialize in subs, however. I was looking for authentic deep dish pizza, it was tucked away in the back corner, but I don't think it is one of their specialties. They serve by the slice which is super convenient, but difficult to heat all the way through. I found that halfway through my slice the cheese was already starting to firm up and I was losing that ooey gooey goodness.”

“We finally have a great family pizza place in the neighborhood! We eat a lot of pizza, and have been missing Via Bella, since it closed. While VB was pretty decent, they could be inconsistent. But I'm happy to report that our first experience with Slice and Ice was great, with very generous fresh toppings and a crisp but thicker crust. We had the Pineapple Express and the Veggie (with added pepperoni), and were amazed at the great flavors and freshness and abundance of toppings. When ordering on the phone, I expressed interest in the Italian ice flavors, because I was thinking of putting some in my freezer, and when I arrived the very friendly owner (assumption) just handed me a couple large ones to try. Wow! Who does that! Very generous. We had the lemon and the mango, which were refreshingly real tasting and not artificial or too sweet. The mozzarella sticks were also surprisingly delicious, because the crispy coating wasn't the usual dull breading, and more like a tempura. Seemed fresh, not frozen. Couldn't get enough of them. Overall, I'd say that their pizza is better than Giordanos, Gino's, Lou's, and Nancy's as well as any of the national chains in the area. Slice and Ice is comparable to the esteemed Caruso's, on the far northeast side, but with a more inviting friendly neighborhood vibe.”

“Sea Ranch Sushi is one of the better sushi places I have found in Downtown Evanston. The selection of fishes and soups they sell is fairly large, and with both in store and online ordering you don't have to wait too long for your order. Plus, the prices are not too extreme to making it unreasonable. However, I think a major plus is that Sea Ranch doubles as a mini-grocery store as well, and you can buy various candies, snacks, and drinks as well as many ingredients to try and prepare food for yourself at home. Highly recommend.”
