Ballydoyle Irish Pub & Restaurant

It’s better than other locations down here, their food isn’t too bad either. We have been here a few times but I am not a fan of a live band in a small bar, so as long as one isn’t playing I am ok with this place. Our friends were obsessed with this place when they first moved to Downers grove but no matter how many times they dragged us here I couldn’t fall for it. There was always something off. One day is was the service, one day it was the food, one day it was the band and one day it was drinks. I am not looking for pure consistency but I would have been happier if there was at least one constant thing that stayed good. Not a bad place for any of the above and it was never terrible enough to send me running so over all, not a bad place to chill with friends. Just might want to avoid band nights if you wanna hear yourself think.

Only been here twice, bit both times were awesome. Great tasting food and really good bar prices. Not a huge place, but it never felt over crowded.

Great spot for music, food, and drinks. Open mic every Wednesday with an awesome group of musicians. Definitely stop by on a Wednesday evening for a good time!

This is our favorite local Irish pub type restaurant, and we've gone here since before they had the waitresses wear short kilts (an unnecessary effort to copy the Tilted Kilt chain?) . The food is good, and we like the cozy atmosphere and unique decor. Get the Irish Chips appetizer with blue cheese sauce--it's a must!
