Dell Rhea's Chicken Basket

Love the ambiance. Service has always been great and of course the chicken is light, flaky and melts in your mouth. I had the oven roasted turkey this last visit and it was amazing. The brownie wasn't so great but who cares, everything else was delicious!

Warm, welcoming, with some of the most delicious home cooking around.

Family-run Dell Rhea's is best known for their delicious fried chicken. And with good reason. It is a revelation, just as tender, juicy, and flavorful as can be. But the rest of the menu is just as impressive. Everything feels like scratch cookin' -- the best mashed potatoes (skin-on warning), the best gravy, the best fried chicken livers, the best catfish, the best green beans, the best scratch biscuits... I mean, I can go on, but why? You can read it on a hundred other reviews.

The thing that makes this place just one step beyond excellent is the wonderful service and atmosphere which let you feel like you're family, too. Family who have to pay $20-25 a head, but family.

Okay... this was too much fun. I used to go to the restaurant frequently but moved. Went to the bar with a very large group of friends and they were amazing. The one waitress took care of us and many other tables and she was delightful. The bartender was sweet and friendly. Loved the staff... and the chicken is insanely good!

Place makes you feel like you're back in time at a truck stop diner but a cute, cozy diner. It even had a nice fireplace to seat by. Food was good, ordered the fried chicken livers. Seasoned very well and the gravy that comes with it wow that was delicious. My husband I had the 1/2 chicken basket(each), came with fries, Cole slaw, and endless warm biscuits! That was a lot of food for one person but no problem because I had leftovers for the following day!
