Little Pops NY Pizzeria Trattoria Lisle

I will only leave google reviews when I feel it is an absolute must, let me tell you as an Italian woman who had moved to IL a few years ago it has been hard to find a place that had one of my favorite styles of pizza, the NY style. My spouse and mother in law came for lunch today and my mind was blown away with the interior. It made me feel like i was back on the east coast getting off the train in NYC. We had the garlic knots and a half cheese half pepperoni with the garlic butter and parmesan crust. We ate up those garlic knots so fast i couldn’t take a photo and holy smokes they were fantastic. Our pizza tasted exactly how I have had it in NY and it brought a happy tear to my eye that I can enjoy this type of pizza again without needing to buy a plane ticket. If you haven’t tried this place out then you have officially made plans right now to check it out!

As a New Yorker, their claim about being NY pizza is accurate. Very good pizza with nice flavors and cooked to order. The restaurant is nicely curated with New York memorabilia. The staff is very freisn;y and the service is very good.

It was just ok. Garlic knots were fantastic, probably the best thing we had. The 10" Gluten Free sausage was decent but not great. The 10" bacon had good flavor but not great and the meatball sub was good, but not great. It always baffles me that restaurants still use wooden handled utensils. They are dirty and dingy looking and more likely than not filled with bacteria. You can see the cracks and separating along the edges. Get some durable plastic or something that looks nicer. The restaurant and bar area are very cool looking and give off the New York vibe. So much so the waitress even took our fries away without asking if we were done!

We've enjoyed Lil Pops for carryout and have been anticipating the opening of this latest location. We ordered the arancini, ricotta gnocchi, pepperoni pizza, and the cheese pizza and ravioli from the kids menu. The decor was just right and a great vibe for an Italian NY pizzeria. The service was attentive and kind, and it was clear they had been preparing and prepping for customers. Everything we had was delicious, with plenty of leftovers. We'll be back again for more pizza and pasta soon!

What a beautiful atmosphere. The murals, the lighting, the music, everything was done with thought to make you feel like you have arrived to New York or are a part of the big apple. Simply amazing. Staff were welcoming and excited to share the experience of the place. Food was delicious. I recommend the ricotta stuffed gnocchi. I left feeling excited and am looking forward to my next visit.
