GREAT authentic Mexican restaurant, great food and drinks. They have a traveling guacamole bar where they bring their cart to your table and make it fresh while you wait. All fresh ingredients used to make your guac, including all items on the menu. You can watch from your seat as they pull these items out of the baskets in the kitchen.
We frequent various Uncle.Julio restraints on a fairly regular basis. This is the cleanest and most spacious location we have ever been to. They were friendly and we had a great meal.
Order something that come with tortillas so you get to enjoy their fresh made amazing tortillas. Order the guac because they'll make it fresh in front of you. If you get a desert, I'm pretty sure they make their own whipped cream, which is amazing. The chocolate pinata is fun, but the best parts are the fudge and the whipped cream they spread alongside it.
The ambiance was nice, music was just right. The food was delicious and we received excellent service. The margaritas were made from fresh lime juice, not a bottled mix-so so good!!!!
Food was great as usual. No complaints there. Service was great too.
The only thing is the design of the dining area. Right up front on the other side of the wall separating the hostess stand are tables, there is a wide double sized opening to the dining room. However, there is a same time opening behind the hostess stand, near the bar, to the dining room as well. Now, when it is cold outside, like it was last week when we dined, and people come in the restaurant from outside, if both sets of doors are open (outside and inside the breezeway/lobby), then the cold air funnels into the dining area at those tables right up front and the temperature change is very noticeable. We did not change tables, but we saw a table of 12 request to be moved, and they were accommodated.
A redesign to close off the entrance directly in line with the doors would be good. All the patrons could walk through the other opening between the hostess stand and bar.
