Hugo's Frog Bar & Fish House

Our favorite restaurant in Naperville. We like to go for lunch. It's a good place for meet ups. Pricey cocktails but made well. The menu has a good variety and several price points. The food preparation is fresh and shows thought and care. It's a place that doesn't try to be like every other higher end restaurant.

Seafood and steaks here are always great and they have great drinks. I got a special which was shrimp and grits and it was just okay. usually always very happy and would stick with the main fish & steak dishes moving forward.

There are a lot of positive things to say about this place. Clean polished classic atmosphere. Great service. The food is well worth the high price. Frog legs and tuna are fantastic.

Good food, good service. You're guaranteed to find something you'll like. Atmosphere could be a bit more - not sure if it should be more lively, or darker, or what. It just seems a bit plain once you're actually seated in the dining room.

Hugo's never disappoints! This establishment pays attention to the aesthetics, service and food components of a great restaurant. This is an upscale restaurant.

Aesthetics: Pristine white tablecloths on table.
Servers in clean uniforms waiting to serve. Clean booths, floors and bathrooms.

Food: Never, ever had a bad meal! I am a stickler for consistency in a restaurant.
My favorite is the thick and creamy New England Clam Chowder. This soup is hard to find in this area unless you make it yourself.

Service: What's not to like about servers who smile and greet you like it is their pleasure to serve you? When not serving they stand waiting to be of service.

Price is commensurate with food quality and level of service.

There is a bar for those who don't seek a table.
If you take out, that is done with a smile too.
I eat out ALOT and Hugo's is one of my favorites.
