Charming step back in time. Really nice dining experience. Updated mansion turned restaurant. Specialties include steaks and seafood. Salad bar with warm bacon dressing or amazing homemade garlic dressing. Pan fried Walleye with almond slivers & a Manhattan. A 1 hour mental vacation. I'll be back.

Update below. Always enjoyable. Try the garlic sauteed shrimp. The chicken tenders are the best I've had - perfect doneness and batter. Do take a moment to enjoy a tasty beverage at the swank bar. Excellent service. Clean. Never a bad meal. Limited old tyme salad bar with the perfect fresh ingredients. Big fan, reminiscent of a supper club. Love it here.

4/13/19 Update: Had the House chicken which was rubbery and salty not much else in regards to seasoning. Did not get a white wine sauce flavor at all. Nice portion tho. Had the creamed spinach, really cheesy and again salt. The bread, salad bar, key lime martini and service were excellent. Hopefully this was an off night. Dropped from 5 star to 3

Very nice place. Small and busy on a Saturday night. Have a drink at the bar while you wait for seating (no reservations). My first time eating there. Many menu items I would like to come back and try.

If you're looking for a small town tavern that serves cuisine like a James B starred accredited restaurant, then you've found the place. Whether you're celebrating an anniversary, birthday, or anything special, Art and Alma will welcome you with open arms. This quaint, small tavern will serve you food that can only be prepared by chef that loves what he does. I have been there several times, and though it hasn't always been for a special event, eating there is a special event. Let's start with the prime rib, red meat seasoned and prepared just right to your liking, so tender you can literally cut it with your spoon. The ribs are meaty and again , falling of the bone. Their seafood is fresh and if you like beer batter (wow). Once you place your main order you are given a cold salad bowl and prepare your own salad from their salad bar. You also have soup at the bar. Some good!!! Their desserts vary but if you have a chance, and a little room please try the creme brulee. This is my favorite dessert and I've had it all over the world and this is some of the best ever. The waitstaff is very professional, knowledgeable, and amiable. Cuisine, staff, and ambiance all rate the five stars. If this little ride to Burlington dissuades you, don't let it. It's worth the ride. Country air to build the appetite. You WILL enjoy!!!

Friendly staff, great ambiance. But at least on this night the food was a problem. Porterhouse ($40) smelled odd and tasted strange - should probably have sent it back, our fault maybe. Prime Rib was very salty. No complaints from the person who got the filet. When ordering we went for the “buy a round of beer for the kitchen” ($12) - would have been nice to get a thanks or some acknowledgement. Anyway, good place except the steaks where off, at least this night.
