Got here when it opened. Friendly staff, bright and well lit dining area. I had the Beef Curry Ramen W/Egg and an Ice Macha Green Tea. The curry was fabulous. Loved the flavor of the broth. It was thick and cooked for quite some time. Almost like a stew with tiny bits of carrot. The curry flavor reminded me of Sun Bird Japanese curry with hints of coriander, fenugreek, cumin and cloves. The beef was really tender like Italian beef. There were a variety of cooked vegetables on top as well as crispy fried onions. Their wide noodles are exceptional and have a nice chew to them. If I get this again I'll pass on the egg. Pretty bland. The ice tea was pretty generic as well. But this ramen at a level one spicy was perfect for a cold November day. Warmed me right up. 😊

Went to Chicago Ramen Algonquin for the first time this weekend, nice experience.

I ordered the Spicy Vegetable Ramen w/ Egg and it turned out incredible. If you want extra protein, I recommend adding another egg.

I just had my first experience here and what a fine dining experience it was. I found servers very accommodating and helpful. Hospitality is fully alive here! Food presentation stunning. My vegetable ramen bowl came with abundance of saffron on top and per request hot spices on side. Delicious!!! I also tried their “Addictive cabbage” appetizer and yes! I ate the whole plate. It was crunchy and spicy with a little tang. Because it is a cloudy rainy day i decided to order hot tea as well and this was my first time i actually enjoyed matcha tea!!! It’s usually too bitter for me but not this time. Watching the kitchen activity behind the bar was an added bonus. I felt completely transported into another world. Highly recommend !

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Chicago Ramen Algonquin, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere, setting the stage for what would be a memorable meal.

The Tsukemen, a unique ramen dish served with hot broth and cold noodles, was an absolute standout. The broth was a symphony of flavors, with a rich and savory base that was perfectly balanced. The addition of fresh lime to the cold noodles was a brilliant touch, creating a delightful contrast that elevated the dish to another level. Each dip of the noodles into the broth was a burst of flavor, making it a truly enjoyable and interactive dining experience.

Moving on to the other ramen offerings, the red miso ramen was a revelation. The deep umami notes of the miso broth were complemented by a medley of tender vegetables, creating a harmonious blend of flavors and textures. It's a dish that caters to both the palate and the soul, offering comfort and satisfaction in every bite.

The vegetable ramen, too, was a delightful surprise. Often, vegetarian options can be lacking in depth, but not at Chicago Ramen Algonquin. This bowl was a celebration of fresh, locally-sourced vegetables, each one cooked to perfection and immersed in a flavorful broth that left a lasting impression.

Now, let's talk about the gyoza. These delectable dumplings were served with a sauce that was simply divine. The gyoza themselves were perfectly crispy on the outside, giving way to a savory and juicy filling. The dipping sauce was the ideal balance of sweet and tangy, providing the perfect accompaniment to these flavorful bites.

The service at Chicago Ramen Algonquin was top-notch, with attentive and friendly staff who were more than happy to assist with recommendations and ensure our dining experience was impeccable. The ambiance of the restaurant was also noteworthy, with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that added to the overall enjoyment of the meal.

In conclusion, Chicago Ramen Algonquin is a gem for ramen enthusiasts and food lovers alike. From the Tsukemen to the red miso ramen, vegetable ramen, and gyoza, every dish is a testament to the culinary excellence you can expect here. I highly recommend giving this new establishment a visit; it's a culinary journey you won't want to miss.

Run, don’t walk to the new Chicago Ramen in Algonquin Commons. My new favorite spot! The inside ambiance is great, a lot of attention and detail went into decorating the place. I tried the Tsukemen Ramen with Cha-Shu and it was so tasty with a very good portion size. My server was also really attentive and kind/helpful. I’ll be back to try more on the menu!
