Manor Cafe & Restaurant

The Manor Care is your typical Greek Diner, just like a lot of these places that dot the landscape in this part of the world. The decor inspires a coziness that doesn't match the size of the restaurant. The Manor Cafe is big, but still feels like a small, intimate cafe.

Another thing that sets the Manor Cafe apart is the quality of the food. Many of these places serve bland, almost institutional food. Not the Manor Cafe; the food is good and you get a lot of it. Their breakfasts are great. They taste good, they are fresh and they are filling. I have not yet tried lunch or dinner, but they also look really good.

The service is friendly and efficient, and always willing to make suggestions if you can't decide what you want.

I recommend giving the Manor Cafe a try the next time you're in East Dundee.

Manor is a classic family style restaurant. Coffee, Breakfast all day, and hearty good food. It delivers all those expectations in clean, spacious dining space. One of those places you can talk instead of text. I recommend Manor if you need a good meal and a place to chill.

Glad to see new ownership. Met John the new owner and expressed to him that our previous attendance has tapered off due to the lack of gluten free items on the menu. John and staff have added several gluten free items to the new and improved menu upon reopening which has us coming back. The also have a lot of new great items. Glad to see several of the wait staff still there. Service was very friendly and prompt. Food was delicious. If you haven’t been there in a while or at all, it’s definitely worth stopping.

My family and I have been going to this restaurant for 5 years. We stopped going last year as I found out I was allergic to gluten. I had heard that the new owners put Gluten free pancakes on the menu and also have Gluten free bread. We went there tonight for dinner and it was delicious. We met the new owner John, he was very friendly. I was glad to see some of the wait staff was still there. Our waitress was great and very knowledgeable about gluten allergies. We will Definitely be back!!!

With the changes to the restaurant, I had to change my rating. The food has improved slightly but the service has gone down. It takes at least five minutes for someone take your order. They also change the way food is paid for and it takes awhile for someone to bring you the receipt to pay. The new people they hired are slow to provide service. Perhaps, they just need more experience but I can always tell who we have (whether new or veteran) based on how long it takes to be greeted at our table.
