Fanny's Thai Roll Ice Cream

So the 1st time I encountered Thai rolled ice cream it was in Chinatwown where a once normal Chinese restaurant turned 100% ice cream joint because of ridiculous turnouts and lines. Waited forever to try what was okay strawberry ice cream with toppings.

Here at Fanny's I got their new Coconut flavor with Asian themed toppings minus the cereal and it was awesome. The coconut was spot on and what good coconut ice cream should taste like. With coconut and mango gel it gives a real Thai flair (a bit of a taste of Thailand) to the ice cream and pays homage to the whole idea itself "Thai Roll Ice Cream". Basically, coconut should be on the main menu and even the namesake flavor of the business "Thai Roll Ice Cream"!

My family LOVES this place! The kids really enjoy the ice cream being made in front of them then rolled and piled high with all sorts of fun toppings. Made with fresh ingredients, all the flavors I've tried are extremely delicious. Cost is comparable to any other ice cream shop and you get a fun experience of watching your ice cream being made just for you!

Fanny's is definitely a place I would recommend going but they need more employees on duty. The customer service is low you have to wait at least 7 minutes before they get to you. I think that the ice cream is superb though and I'll absolutely go there with every chance I get.

This is a really great, unique place in Elgin. The service is very friendly, and the ice cream tastes really good. I had the Strawberry Lady, which is their standard ice cream with a strawberry and strawberry syrup mixed in. Whipped cream and sprinkles on top with a sliced strawberry. My friend got the banana strawberry and said it was great. I would definitely go back. We went around 8:30PM and it was super busy. It seems a lot of people like it.
