The drinks here are fantastic, especially their specialty. Margaritas which come with a light foam topping. The drink menu is not surprisingly heavy on tequila and mezcal cocktails, and the mixologists do a great job of adjusting drinks to customers tastes. I've never had food here except for small plates and nibbles, but the chips come very fresh accompanied by three salsas, including a spicy jalapeno one and a nice smoky red one. The tacos are small, and it's nice that you can order them al a cart if you are. Just looking for a happy hour nibble.
First time at Del Barrio and it was a great experience. The steak tacos were AMAZING, service was great, and it's a cool place in general. The only reason I docked a star was because unlike every other Mexican restaurant I've ever been to, they did not have free chips and salsa as you wait for your meal. The food was great and we will be back, but the chips and salsa would have put Del Barrio over the top.
Authentic and incredibly savory and delicious food! Our group had the Guacamole (FRESH), flautas, calabacitas (OMG), quesadillas, and Spanish rice (fresh n fluffy), as well as a traditional margarita. Service was fast and super friendly. Very chill ambiance with lots of cool artwork. Highly recommend, two enthusiast thumbs way up, LOVE this place!
If heaven were a taco, it would probably be from Del Barrio... Tried pork belly and steak - the levels of flavor just kept coming! Also tried the flautas and street corn, you just can't go wrong. Flavors on point, extensive bar options, server was super friendly and on it, and the restaurant is beautiful inside - the art is as vibrant as the flavors the food delivers.
Went out on a Monday night to catch up with another couple and wanted to try someplace new. Del Barrio did not disappoint. Lots of Tequila and Mezcal drinks. 2 of ordered El Kykin another red wine and a coke. El Kykin very yummy you could tell they did not skimp on the alcohol. I really appreciated them telling us the coke ran out on our drink rather than just try to serve it. Chips n guac were ordered. Chips were freshly prepared still warm, they had a great taste and good body ( they were not the thin kind. ) The appetizer was yummy enough that we ordered another. 2 of us ordered the flautas which were really good and a large portion, they both took leftovers home. 1 ordered 3 pastor tacos, I ordered 1 pastor and 1 pecado. Tacos super tasty they are about 4 inches in diameter, very fresh ingredients. Prices for tacos are either $4.00 each (I chose this as my appetite has been dwindling, I can't eat as much as I used to.) Or 3 tacos for $11.00. Sides are extra 3 of us got Elote, great flavor right off the Cobb very crunchy, I prefer my corn cooked a bit more but that's just my preference. We all ate the whole serving of Elote. 1 person got frijoles charros, he was a bit disappointed as he thought it was going to be more of a fried pork skin side but it was a soup. It had a great flavor (yes we passed it around so we could all try it) when my husband said he didn't want to finish it my son finished it. Again, great flavor just not what he was looking for. Overall great night. Music a bit loud but we are loud so for us it not too much of a problem but if we were with a "soft talker" I would have had issues.
Great food, drink and night would recommend👍👍👍👍
