Copper Barrel on State

Nice place, good service, friendly staff but average food. I was super excited about the menu especially the BBQ selection so I eagerly ordered the brisket from the smokehouse menu. When we got our food, I immediately noticed the brisket was not sliced fresh off the whole brisket. The slices were reheated up on a griddle and that toughened up meat. Plus there was no smokey flavor. For a place featuring a BBQ menu with a slightly upscale identity, I expected more. :(

First visit. Greeted at the door by friendly courteous staff. Very impressed with the menu! There were four of us. All ordered something different and each of us said we enjoyed our dishes tremendously. Will definitely be back to try something different.

This a great little place downtown. The decor and atmosphere are stunning. The staff was super friendly. But I have to dock them on their food. The Mac and cheese with brisket was just ok and the meat was tough. The tacos were small and I would like to see bigger tacos or a larger serving size. The appetizers and their strong suit. I’ve had multiple appetizers and they were all good. Hopefully the food improves. I will be going back to check. Overall great place to take your friends and family

Amazing selection of smoked meats, pasta, sandwiches, appetizers and salads. The smoked brisket poutine was absolutely delicious. Wide variety for a kid's menu, how often do you see brisket on a kid's menu? Good selection of beer(both on tap and in cans and bottles) and wine. Great atmosphere and design. Really accommodating staff, went above and beyond in dealing with food allergies.

Just discovered this beautiful place! The staff has been awesome! Thank you Karen and Paula for your great service! Big shout out to the chef, the Honey Walleye is spectacular, best fish I've ever had, coleslaw and roasted green beans is the best! We will definitely be coming back to try all the great things on your menu! Atmosphere couldn't be better! Just love your bar stools, so extremely comfortable!
