We asked the friendly server for her recs and she absolutely loves the Shepard's pie. AJ's has an offering of chilled pre-made, grab and go (or stay) food- sliders, soups, rutabaga mash, whole Shepard's Pie, and DESSERT. With her rec we both decided to try the Shepard's Pie for a takeaway supper.
I ordered a Reuben slider, zero-sugar lemon lime soda and my friend ordered the Revolution burger slider, zero-sugar cream soda. We shared the Smokehouse and Everything Loaded Freedom Fries. The sliders are about the circumference of a beverage can. Don't let the petite size fool you- it's flavorful and filling!
The power bread and the corned beef were tender. In my opinion, the kraut could have had more tang. My friend liked her spicy Revolution burger. Both fries were tasty too! Having never tried rutabaga fries, I wonder if they can be made crispier?
Don't miss out on the dessert pies. They offer mini takeaway pies as well as occasionally, full-size ones.
We each bought a Sheppard's pie, full-size key lime pie and mini cashew butter pie to bring home for supper. All was a hit with my family and she told me it was a hit with hers.
We both questioned whether we want to tell everyone about the place or keep this hidden gem to ourselves. 🤫

Sliders were fire

Absolutely outstanding!!! Finally a low carb and delicious option close to home.

I haven't even been here yet, but when the news dropped about a low carb, no sugar restaurant, my brain exploded. I'm going to be a dedicated customer for sure!

Love the sliders, love the loaded fries. It's a nice different type of place that this world needs more of.
