The owner is so nice, she immediately greeted me when I walked in. Definitely coming back! “We were looking for a new Mexican place to try. This place was so close to home so we tried it out , ordered 3 different types of tacos , n horchata to drink , also ordered enchiladas with mole sauce , the chicken, pulled pork, and steak meats were great , unfortunately we asked for chips n salsa @ $8.00.Most of the chips were bendable n hard to chew very disappointing waste of money (see the pics)....the table n chairs do not work together as in the chairs dont fit under the table (see pics) very uncomfortable seating to dine with . Overall...change the table and chairs Drop the price on chips and salsa Offer a more basic taco as one of your options to eat., but taste and portions were well done. “I had never been to this store. They are very clean and everything is tidy. The ladies that work there are very nice. They have different types of tequilas. I liked some of the shapes of the bottles. I bought a small bottle of Don Ramon tequila, but I will be back to buy some of the other tequilas. They also have some hot cooked Mexican food to go.”

“The drive from Oak Lawn was worth it. One of the best beefs of my life! I forgot to order it wet, but it doesn’t need it at all. Delicious and perfectly spiced. “Beautiful venue! I saw Matteo Bocelli which was phenomenal! Seating inside and very accessible as it’s located on the first floor with no stairs. Balcony seating available as well for some events. The staff is kind and attentive. It is a very intimate venue which I enjoy for music. Lots of restaurants nearby. Free garages and multiple parking lots nearby. Located right downtown St. Charles.”

“Really enjoyed our experience at this AUTHENTIC Italian place. The food was spot on. You can tell the cook in the kitchen (one of the owners) is definitely someone who cares how the flavors come together. We got so much fresh seafood. We did a hot grilled seafood mix and a seafood salad, very light and lemony over arugula. Tasted the panzerotti with cheese and capers-the dough was tender. I was impressed. I spent ten years in Chicago and got used to really good Italian food. I’m very happy to have this place nearby. They were attentive and helpful as well and cleared the table between courses. Parking is easy. There are a few tables inside and a few outside. Although we dined in, also did a takeout dish because it was so good, to share with people at home.”

“I was excited to try this place. If I hadn't known it is there, Google Maps would have taken me to a place on Randall Road. Try these coordinates instead: (41.973542,-88.342535) We asked the friendly server for her recs and she absolutely loves the Shepard's pie. AJ's has an offering of chilled pre-made, grab and go (or stay) food- sliders, soups, rutabaga mash, whole Shepard's Pie, and DESSERT. With her rec we both decided to try the Shepard's Pie for a takeaway supper. I ordered a Reuben slider, zero-sugar lemon lime soda and my friend ordered the Revolution burger slider, zero-sugar cream soda. We shared the Smokehouse and Everything Loaded Freedom Fries. The sliders are about the circumference of a beverage can. Don't let the petite size fool you- it's flavorful and filling! The power bread and the corned beef were tender. In my opinion, the kraut could have had more tang. My friend liked her spicy Revolution burger. Both fries were tasty too! Having never tried rutabaga fries, I wonder if they can be made crispier? Don't miss out on the dessert pies. They offer mini takeaway pies as well as occasionally, full-size ones. We each bought a Sheppard's pie, full-size key lime pie and mini cashew butter pie to bring home for supper. All was a hit with my family and she told me it was a hit with hers. We both questioned whether we want to tell everyone about the place or keep this hidden gem to ourselves. 🤫”

“I cannot recommend this restaurant enough! We just moved into the area from Chicago where we’ve had our fair share of excellent dining experiences and this was such a breath of fresh air. The design is impeccable, the service felt was wonderful - true hospitality feel and the food was impressive. Get the butterscotch for dessert. You will NOT be disappointed. We made reservations and while we were seated 45 minutes past that time, we remained patience because it was their opening night and we knew everyone was working hard to meet the demand of a busy evening. It was a full house and we loved seeing the buzz of it all.”

“We used to go to Mother’s all the time and decided to try out the Tasty Biscuit. I’m not sure if it’s owned by the same people or not, but the food is just a great! Our food came out, I’m not even kidding, maybe a maximum of 10 minutes after we ordered. Tasted amazing and food was hot. The biscuits were ginormous and SUPER light and fluffy, perfect pairing to the gravy smothered on top. The coffee was probably one of the best white chocolate raspberry coffees I’ve had in the area. I’ve tried many a locally owned coffee place around here and this coffee has GOT to take the cake. Perfect flavor, not too much syrup. Perfect. Service was great and super friendly, there was a minimum wait time even for a Sunday which I thought was awesome. There’s even more seating in the restaurant now because they took the bar away. The restaurant is freshly renovated and looks super modern. Whether it’s the same owners rebranding or new owners that took over, whatever you’re doing… keep it up! The place looks and tastes amazing!”
