Salerno's On the Fox

Love the pizza here at Salernos! The food is good and reasonably priced and the view in the summer time is great. The waitresses I've had have all been really nice as well. Parking is usually pretty easy to get which is also nice.

My husband and I have been coming here for the past 10 years. We drive from Chicago to st Charles a couple times a year. I love the nostalgia of the old school feel, it has a way of transporting you to another time and place. The food is consistently delicious. WE LOVE THIER PIZZA, despite the fact we literally have a Salerno's down the street from us in the city...we drive all the way here for a good pie. Matter of fact, we eat in for me either a vodka sauce with pasta or gnocchi, or chicken vesuvio. We always get the fried calamari, always cooked to perfection. The hubs gets the meatball sandwich or eggplant parm. Then we get a 1/2 baked pizza to go and eat it the next day. We have had positive interactions with staff members many of whom we've had serve us several times over the years. Always a good sign when establishments keep staff. Everyone is friendly. We love that the owners are almost always there, a rare and refreshing sight these days. Especially for as long as this location has been here. Thank you for yet another good experience. First off, simply calling this a pizza place does not do it justice. While their pizza is awesome, the rest of their menu and the atmosphere are extremely classy. You could go for an informal hangout just to get pizza, or you could even have a romantic dinner here. The decor inside and the amazing view of the Fox River are great!

Met up here with a buddy for a casual hangout. Ordered an app and drinks, along with a pizza. The entire staff (especially our server) was extremely friendly and attentive. When our pizza came, there was an issue with one of the toppings due to a miscommuication on their end. They were very apologetic about the whole situation and put in a new order right away. Since it was a thicker, larger pizza, there was no way to really speed up the cooking time, but they went above and beyond to try and make it right.

I'd definitely recommend trying any of Salerno's locations, but this one has been my favorite.

Fantastic. Feels very original and Italian. If Al Capone was still alive I see this being one of his weekend dinner spots. owner is very pro active and helps with the service which is rare to see. If you want a great cozy place to eat great food and excellent dessert definitely check this place out.

We requested a heart shaped pizza hoping they would consider the request being the day after valentine's and the owner gave us a friendly thumbs up.
