Corniciones

This is a very nice casual diner-type eatery. The sub sandwiches were excellent. The fries were even better. I'll definitely go back and try something else.

I really want to love this place, been here a few times now, but they just aren't getting it right yet. 1)The service really needs to be worked on, it seems like a lot of people just standing around. Servers are nowhere to be found when you need something. 2) Condiments- really, you have deli sandwiches and you only have packets of mustard? Getting mustard, mayo, giardiniera is like pulling teeth. Was halfway though my sandwich before anyone came, then had to wait again for mustard. 3) The price point of the tuna sandwich was a bit high, was very skimpy on the tuna to bread ratio. 4) Love the garlic knots- when they are not burnt! 3 out of the 4 times we have had them- burnt on the top and hard as a rock. I can't believe the kitchen isn't embarrassed serving those. 5) And my biggest peeve- which may stop us from coming: when we ask for the tab, they tell you what it is and want your card right away! I am sorry, but I want to SEE what I am paying for BEFORE I give you my card or cash!!! I have never been anywhere that you are told what you owe without seeing some sort of invoice/bill. PLEASE, teach your staff to leave a copy of the bill with the customer, so we can see it and then pay!!!!!!!

Working in town for the last couple years we have been looking for new places to sneak out and grab lunch that mix up our normal routine. After hearing rave reviews about Corniciones we decided to give it a try, and couldn't be more pleased! The Philly Cheese Steaks were out of this world and the portions were huge! Fries were fresh and made it to the office hot and crispy. We will definitely be back and can't wait to try even more of their delicious food!

Great food and very good service! My wife is from the New England area and has been missing New York style pizza since we moved to Illinois. She was very excited to find Corniciones and it did not disappoint! The clam strips appetizer was good and the pizza was fantastic. This will definitely be our go to pizza place from now on!

Got one of the cold deli sandwiches. Delicious and a big portion. Steak fries were really good too. Hope this place sticks around. Everyone there was friendly and greeted me. I'll be back soon!
