Test Kitchen BBQ

BBQ is an art form and this place is very good! I would say the best in the area and I’ve tried them all. I am a picky rib tip eater and have specific taste profile and these ribs hit the spot. I bought 2 lbs for 2 people thinking it would be enough and my husband almost ate all of them before even prepping the dinner plate. We had the mild sauce which was very tasty. Honestly though, you could eat the meat by itself. Not overly smoky or peppery. Seasoned just right with a light smoke flavor.

What don’t I like - you can only get the rib tips on Fridays! Hoping this place gets to the point they can offer more often. Make sure to go early, they will run out. I have pulled up at 7pm and they were out. Today I went at 4pm and was good.

Can’t wait for the fried catfish in 2021!

I must say out of all the Barbeque establishment in Chicago this place has award winning ribs. They fall straight off the bone and are finger licking good. I will definitely continue to support this venue.

Best rib tips anywhere! Meaty and tender. Well smoked. I tried the mild sauce and it’s sweet and tangy. Yum!

I live and Maryland, and miss all the foods I grew up on. I especially love Rid Tips, here on the east coast they don’t know what they are so I just did without for over 30 years. It wasn’t until I heard about Test Kitchen Barbecue who shipped me 3 lbs of Tips when I got them I just clicked my heels and thought there’s no place like home the ribs were tender, the sauce were out of this world, I don’t live in North Chicago anymore but if I did then I would visit them often

BBQ was LIT! Best rib tips in town. Hands down. I go almost every Friday, they only do rib tips on Fridays. I LOVE THE OPTIONS with the sauces. They have the basics like mild and hot, but they also have a Memphis and a Carolina GOLD. They made from scratch those sauces also. Service is great, keep it up! And add those HOT LINKS to the menu, I got one in my basket, it was a total suprise. I'll be going back for sure and be spreading the word with my crew. Thanks for coming into town.
