Starved Rock Lodge & Conference Center

Cosey place. The Lodge gives a military discount. I stayed in both a "Bay view King room" and a "Lodge wing King room". The lodge feels a bit dated. There is was no fridge in any of the rooms. Vending machine on the first floor wasn't working. The Lodge was clean and the service was friendly. None of my rooms were very soundproof. Still all in all a great place to stay if you want to explore the Starved Rock State Park.

Always wonderful. The towels are a little rough, and the beds a little soft for my taste, but nothing beats waking up at 6am to go to St Louis Canyon. And the service here is excellent. The height of respect.

This was a stop over for my wife and I. We love hiking the state park area. This is our first time staying at the lodge. The accommodations are nice and very old world feeling. If there is a negative it is that every little sound echos the hallways. The main dining area had phenomenal food. Great choices and the plating was very professional. They serve burgers to roasted duck, calamari...very diverse menu and everything heading to tables looked amazing. Our food was perfect! Lots to do in this area and a lot of history here at this lodge. We will be back during warmer weather for sure.

This was a great place to take a family vacation. The lodge is very nice and the accommodations are great.
There are DVDs to check out from the front desk for free in-room entertainment options.
We hiked about half of the trails at the park on a nice March day. Make sure to give yourself several hours to go out and see the canyons in the park. Bring your camera as there is an abundance of wildlife including hawks and eagles.

The food and Service was Fantastic!! Would recommend to anyone. My Husband had the New York Strip and it was fixed just the way he asked, which usually doesn't happen most places,. Very tender and juicy...I had the fried chicken and the crust was excellent. Very Enjoyable meal. Thanks!!
