    Food is very good, but we had to ask for water and menus!!!!!!! Our waiter did not check on us at all all and was very grumpy!????

    We just celebrated our 17th anniversary here with a appetizer then a great dinner of the smoked prime and some drinks.
    Our first date was at Starved Rock, Then we had many other dates here.
    Then we got married at Starved Rock.
    Since then we have celebrated all of our anniversaries and her birthdays at
    Starved Rock over the years.
    We have always been impressed with
    Starved Rock Lodge and would recommend it to all.

    Nice place for a drink and dinner with friends. Chicken is excellent as was the service.

    We had dinner in the lodge, main dining room on a Friday night. Good service, but food was average. We returned on Saturday afternoon for cocktails and lunch in the bar -- again, just average. It's nice to have food/drink options while visiting the park, but just don't set your expectations to high.
