First visit and we loved it! We saw it advertised on TV, had a doctor appt. there in town & decided to plug it into the GPS. So happy we did! Very unique place, right up our alley! Staff was very friendly and the food was absolutely awesome!!! I had a cheeseburger and fries & he had the crispy chicken sandwich and he said it's the best he's ever had! The fries were just insane!! The portions were so large we had to bring part of it with us home. Let's not forget the homemade pies and cookies, butterscotch & chocolate and m&m! We were in Heaven!! We quickly decided we will return our next visit to town. Thank you Coney McKane's for great food & a wonderful visit!!
Was seated pretty quickly given the large group. Service was attentive and prompt. I got the French dip with chips. French dip and chips were uniquely flavorful with good texture. However, the au jus was overwhelmingly salty. Also, the amount of chips given was disappointingly low, I only had like 10 chips (compared to the mound of fries that my coworkers got)
Oh my heck! What a treasure! I had The Bomb this visit. It is truly the BOMB! Who ever came up with this one is a genius. The Strawberry Rhubarb pie is a true masterpiece. The perfect blend of strawberry and rhubarb with the flakiest crust I have ever eaten! I do not like pie crust. I always leave it. However, this time was different! I ate my pie crust! It was superb! The wait staff is always kind, helpful and full of good humor! I must say this is my all time favorite place to eat in Decatur!
Stopped in by chance and was not disappointed. Has the old-time diner vibe but with updated decor and atmosphere. Cheerful service, great tasting food and wonderful banana pie. A truly bottmless cup of coffee. Also they have the Impossible Burger -- a rarity for a non-vegan restaurant, especially in central Illinois.
