Great food and a lot of fun
Great food and great service!
I stopped at this restaurant for lunch. I had a recommendation from a friend whose in-laws always come here when they are in town. So many great items on the menu. I ended up getting a turkey, pepper jack cheese, jalapeños, and tomato panini with a dill mayo on the side to spread. It also comes with a choice of homemade seasoned kettle chips or a spiced 1/2 peach (canned). Homemade off course. Or you can choose to have both for 50 cents more. Definitely get both! That peach was delicious. I'm going back to get it again. The sandwich was delicious as well.
Went here with my wife for a nice date without the kids. The atmosphere is nice, but the chairs are inferior quality for a place with these prices. The appetizer menu is bizarre and makes no sense in line with the rest of the menu. Because of no clear appetizer that fit the dinner, we went the thin crust mushroom and pepperoni pizza ($9). We received a piece with perfectly buttery thin crust pizza a 1/8" layer of cheese, no sauce, perfectly placed pepperoni and what seemed to be a small mushroom chunked and haphazardly thrown on the pizza. The problem here was the mushroom. It was delicious but there was almost none of it on the pizza and it looked like it accidentally fell on the pizza. If a higher end restaurant is going to serve pizza it should be top tier not look like an afterthought. The pizza was a complete miss--only 1/4 of it tasted awesome (despite the weird no sauce choice) the other 3/4 were inferior to freezer pizza.
We ordered the King cut Prime Rib ($32) and Double Glazed Duck Breast ($39). The prime rib portion was generous for the price, but mild in flavor and could be better flavor infused--a solid 4/5. The duck breast was outstanding perfectly cooked to medium rare (chef's standard), crispy on the outside, extremely flavorful, and served with delicious sauce and fruit salsa--A solid 5/5. The sides were perfectly cooked green beans and garlic mashed potatoes--Both solid 5/5 and the green beans were good enough to rave about. I don't normally eat green beans and I'd eat a pound of theirs if I could order them at an affordable price.
We will almost certainly revisit because of the outstanding duck, but if the restaurant strives to be 5/5 they need to ensure that every dish is a 5/5. A 3/5 for the complete miss on the pizza and a slightly overpriced menu that is propped up by several top tier items.
I've never once received sub-par service here. The manager is phenomenal and absolutely hilarious! This is our #1 date night choice. It's a little expensive but it's definitely well worth it!
