StoneBakers Pizza

This was a great place for a casual meal/meals come in the familiar red plastic basket with sort of a disposable presentation. It did not take away from the meal. Their menu is pizza and more. I had ricotta stuffed shells (3) it was a hearty portion with marinara sauce - enjoyed. My husband had lasagna, he said it was good. It looked great, both meals - they did not skimp on cheese. The ladies bathroom was very nice decor and clean as a whistle. They do not have a liquor license - I was brought back to memories of my youth when you could bring your own liquor (NY) if the establishment did not serve. They said it was ok to use an adjoining door/hallway to the bar next door and go get what we wanted and bring is back to have with our meal. I thought that was sort of cool and we did do it. What's a pizza meal without an icy cold beer? They do have sirius music and there were 2 different tv screens running. Original wood floors from days gone past, open brick wall, booths or table- your choice, made for a cozy hour. It seemed as though they also have a steady take out business. I recommend this establishment.

This is absolutely fantastic pizza! No need to travel all the way into Chicago just for a great pie when it's right here in Marengo. It's delicious and very fast. Service is great and they actually remember you, unlike most places! I love this place and give it 2 thumbs way up!

This place is definitely higher quality than what’s available locally. The only thing preventing a five star is that recently they change the way they do their grilled chicken sandwich and I believe they decrease their portion size. This was One of the only items I ordered regularly so I do not come here as often now.

Some of the best pizza I've ever had and it's affordable, too! Not like those overrated chain restaurants that charge you an outrageous amount of money for pizza that's not worth the price. StoneBakers is definitely my go-to when I'm in Marengo.
