“Updated 2019: Changed review from 4 stars to 3. One of the better craft beer selection in the area. Food is pricey and underwhelming. Atmosphere can be loud, the outdoor seating is a nice relief. I enjoy the atmosphere of the dining area, but the bar area seems drab and the dartboards lights are very bright & flashy. It almost feels like two different venues. I love the stage and the upstairs area. Cleanliness leaves something be desired, especially in the bathrooms (see photos). I haven't been here in over a year, but had my phone ready knowing the bathrooms would be unfortunate. Hopefully publicly posting some photos may encourage some attention to it. I really would like to love Dukes, we need good beer establishments. Overall, there are better places in the area, but if you have a friend that insists (or needs to have a big beer selection), it's probably not the worst place you can go. But Duke's isn't on my top 10.”

“Just went through the drive thru trying to use my Free Big Mac promotion card which I got from this location. You can get one free Big Mac every week for a year! The Big Mac week starts on a Wednesday and you can get a Big Mac that week through the next Wed. I had a punch open for the week of 10/31 meaning I could get it stamped today still and have the punch be on that week. They punched for both weeks and told me I missed a week? Both the week of 10/31 and 11/7. I was like "I didn't miss a week how come you punched both?". They said I missed a week...They being both the employee and manager on duty. Why give out a free promotion card if you don't even want to honor it? Worst customer service I have ever experienced at a McDonald's! I'm also a paying customer 2-3 other days through out the week. The staff here is clueless! So when do I come in for my next free Big Mac for 11/14? Before that date or after for that week? Update: 2/24 The Service at this McDonald's seems to be way better at night. The manager and drive thru cashier are super nice and professional. The service may not be as fast, but the food is always fresh :)”

“I'm an avid coffee drinker and Dunkin fan have always had decent experiences when going to this location. They have never gotten an order wrong and staff is always nice, however, the hours posted online and on the door are wrong. On 4 different occasions now, during the week and on the weekend I've driven here during a break at work during hours they should be open (usually during happy hour as well) and it'll say open but lights will be off and doors locked. Its irritating because it wastes my break at work and there's no reason for them not to be open. So my only complaint is that they fix the posted hours to actually match when they're open so that i don't waste me time.”

“The other Saturday, I worked all morning, missed lunch, but had to make the 4:03 train out of Pingree. I was going to get to the station about 10 minutes early, but was SOOOO hungry, my stomach felt like acid! I needed something, but didn't want to cut it too close. I figured I would stop at J.J.'s for a togo sammie. I pulled in to the lot and parked my car at 3:48 pm. I ordered my #12 paid and was back on Rt. 31 at 3:50 pm. You guy's saved the DAY!!! How was the food?...pretty darn good! FREAKY FAST???...definitely!!!”

“Read such great reviews on this restaurant. So decided to give it a go well the reason I give 3 stars is because maybe food is off because of being closed for 3 months . Appetizers came out room temperature for baked clams shrimp was cool an the sauce for the shrimp was cold. Sent back claims to have cooked longer an was told by server the plate was hot so there is no way the clams where cold. The sauce for the shrimp had great flavor if it would have warm I think it would have been an amazing dish. For dinner had the veal parmesan which if the sauce was lacking think the sauce they used for shrimp would have been a better choice to but over the veal. If it wasn't for the hostess I probably would have gave 1 star for lack of service”

“This is a great addition to the McHenry restaurant options. When I worked at McHenry hospital I was happy to see this place open across the street. Everything I have had here was clean, fresh and delicious. I absolutely love the seasoned curly fries (I have a weakness for them!). The chicken fajita sandwich was a little lackluster...but the gyros, burgers, and salads have all been fantastic. I recommend this place - it's reliable, has a great variety and is a trusty place to stop in a desert of food options!”
